i couldnt get enough of the ninjago monster high au i and @lonleyzodiac made so we made an ever after high au as well

the characters are all the sons and daughters of fairy tales with their elemental powers being tied moreso towards their heritages rather than anything else

the parents are more loosely based on the fairytale characters they stand in for tbh anyways characters under the cut

in no particular order, here’s some characters + their alignments (royal (will/wants to follow in the footsteps (destinies) of their parents) or rebel (will not follow their destinies), they’re all standins but not direct remakes of the EAH characters:

lloyd garmadon (rebel) - son of garmadon (or the evil king i guess)

nya hearts (rebel) - daughter of the knave and queen of hearts (intended to follow the destiny of the knave of hearts (being put on trial and punished for a crime she didn’t commit))

kai hearts (rebel (former royal)) - son of the knave and queen of hearts (intended to follow the destiny of the queen of hearts (becoming king of wonderland))

cole brookstone (rebel (former royal)) - son of the big bad wolf

jay hatter (rebel (former royal)) - son of the mad hatter

zane julien (rebel) - son of dr julien, or the snow king

geo hood (rebel) - son of robin hood (ran away to ever after high because of the stuff that went down)

pixal (rebel) - adopted daughter of eros

harumi cheshire (royal (but doesn’t like to admit it)) - daughter of the cheshire cat

sora white (royal) - daughter of snow white

arin kingsley (royal) - son of alice (he has no idea if his mum is still alive or still in wonderland or anything)

euphrasia charming (royal) - daughter of prince charming (standin for darling charming)

percival charming (royal) - son of prince charming (standin for daring charming, he constantly went after sora who was just not into him until he met arin)

echo julien (rebel) - a pinocchio-like character cursed to become a villain in his destiny (he’s cursed to become mr. e)

scott thorne (rebel (former royal)) - son of the dark fairy (clarification: in this au scott acts nothing like faybelle, he’s an absolute sweetheart in this don’t worry)

jordana jester (royal) - daughter of the joker card

vania beauty (rebel (former royal)) - daughter of sleeping beauty

akita blanc (royal) - daughter of the white rabbit

morro huntsman (rebel) - son of the huntsman (snow white)

wyldfyre (rebel) - daughter of beauty (beauty and the beast)

jacob piper (pevsner) (rebel) - son of the pied piper

nadakhan (royal) - son of captain hook

sky pirates (all royals) - children of captain hook’s crew

tox breadhouse (rebel) - daughter of the candy witch (hansel and gretel)

chamille swan (royal) - daughter of the swan queen

gale goldilocks (gossip) (royal) - daughter of goldilocks

cinder redford (rebel) - son of the red queen (not to be confused with the queen of hearts) (people think he’s the son of cinderella) (he’s not)

first headmaster (nickname for the first spinjitzu master) - just the first spinjitzu master, headmaster of ever after high

wu - FSM’s son, resident man-trapped-in-the-library-and-forced-to-speak-riddlish of the AU

garmadon - lloyd’s father, the evil king, wu’s brother and FSM’s son

the ships in this au (i always have to include ships i’m sorry /hj) are: technoshipping (jay x zane), lostshipping (cole x geo), citrus/deadbolt(?)shipping (echo x morro), royalshipping(?) (vania x harumi) and windtech/typewriter (sora x euphrasia) + not really a ship but percival having a massive one-sided crush on arin (who is completely oblivious to said obvious crushing)

most character last names are carried over from ever after high btw

characters crushing on other characters in EAH will be removed in this AU due to age differences unless stated otherwise

Oh, if I’m rereading book with infernal detectives (1991) (!rus), which fell into my hands back in 2012-13

I don't really remember the events where I got it from. I just remember that I picked it up on street, for some reason a "garbage bin" pops up in my head, but it definitely doesn't seem to be from it, right (⓿_⓿)???

if roughly specified, they will be dark green, silver, ~terracotta, and purple

Its hard for me to describe in words, so I'll attach ~approximate pic for colors

i like all colors

except for bright red shades, especially when there is a lot of it or if it is an accent color..... like

that's why I usually not use bright red in the arts, even when draw Kai -- I dim red a bit

Sweet/spicy/savory:

I really like sweet, milk chocolate, jelly and various caramels. I also really like sweet and sour things, especially if they cause a reaction like in cartoons, but in reality. But there are few of them, so lemons and kiwis will help me (○｀ 3′○)

I love spicy, of course, jalapeno, chili, and other spicy peppers

not against wasabi and horseradish (although for me they mostly differ in the burn duration and resting speed)

savory doesn’t evoke special feelings, like okay, not insipid and okay ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Currently working on:

A small animation like "into the game". I have the first part sketch-animatic, but it seems to me that with the second part I put too much information for timing

this au we’re making is driving me insane /vpos

here are some misc headcanons for the ninjago ever after high au under the cut:

- the wonderland kids (kai, nya, jay, akita, arin and harumi) are all shorter than the others, but jay is short even by wonderland standards. kai, who is just slightly taller than him, likes to bend down to talk to him to mess with him. to kiss zane (the tallest in the friend group) (or do anything other than talking to him), jay has to either:

a) stand on zane’s feet and then go on his tiptoes

b) have zane bend down

or c) jump/climb onto zane in situations where neither a nor b are applicable

- cole (son of the big bad wolf) gives geo (son of robin hood) rocks and geo gives him cool stuff his dad steals in return

- pixal (adopted daughter of eros, the au equivalent of c.a. cupid) cannot care less about relationships for herself, she only likes to help others out

- cole and vania (daughter of sleeping beauty) are super smart on their own, but actual idiots when they hang out

- zane (who is the son of the snow king/dr julien in this au), despite being a prince, treasures absolutely everything jay (son of the mad hatter (libber)) gives him and jay does the same in return. whenever zane offhandedly mentions that he wants a specific thing around jay, jay will take off his hat (wonderland logic, bottomless hat full of desired objects), reach in, take out the thing he wanted and hand it to him like “here you go!!”

- kai (son of the queen and knave of hearts), like lizzie in ever after high, constantly says “OFF WITH YOUR HEAD!” out of habit and the rest of the group (including nya, his sister who grew up with the same insanity he did) makes fun of him for it

- libber (jay’s mum, the mad hatter) took in all the wonderland kids when they had to flee wonderland (except akita (daughter of the white rabbit (or white fox)) and arin (son of alice) of course (until they came to ever after)) and acts as their cool crazy mum

- cole and geo constantly hang out at the hatdashery (libber’s wonderland-themed café (a thing carried over from ever after high)). once they attempted a date there during thronecoming (they just ran off not even halfway through the party) but ✨Wonderland Logic✨ happpened and libber kept on talking to them as she recognised them as jay’s friends (she didn’t know they were attempting to have a date there,,,,, they didn’t do it again)

- everyone thinks that zane is a cold and heartless being when in reality he’s just very awkward

- the wonderland kids and vania throw the best parties

- geo is the one who helps cole take off the hood (context: in ever after high, cerise hood (daughter of the big bad wolf and little red riding hood) hides her wolf ears under a red hood, but eventually learns to embrace that part of her, this happens to cole in the au)

- sora is the daughter of snow white in this au and, like in ever after high and dragons rising, sora’s mum/snow white still absolutely sucks

- jay is the most theatrical dramatic boyfriend ever (on the contrary, zane’s chill (literally))

first ninjago ever after high au redesign: kai hearts!

in the ever after high au, kai is the son of the queen (maya) and knave (ray) of hearts and is, along with nya, jay and a few others, a wonderland kid

he follows the destiny of the queen of hearts, where, in his destiny (before he rewrote it), he would go a bit mad, chop jay’s (jay is the son of the mad hatter libber) head off and put his sister (who follows the destiny of the knave of hearts) on trial for a crime she didn’t commit. in his rewritten destiny, him and nya rule wonderland together instead and he doesn’t go insane and stuff

i tried to do the background in the style of the little character intros you get in the ever after high webisodes (to the best of my abilities)

cole, sat with the rest of the group (vania is right next to him): guys did you know that i can make vania instantly fall asleep

jay (son of the mad hatter): i thought you were SPEAKING RIDDLEISH

(please don’t question him being the son of the big bad wolf and little red riding hood, in ever after high it’s like that 😓😓😓 /lh)

in this au, cole is the son of the big bad wolf (lou) and little (deceased) red riding hood (lilly)!! he used to wear a hood to hide his ears (and therefore his relation to the big bad wolf (and to avoid in general being associated with his father for a long while)) until he met geo, who ended up influencing him to take the hood off and make amends with his father (they’re on good terms now)

his best friend has always been princess vania, daughter of sleeping beauty (aka an actual EEPER) and the third wheel of him and geo’s relationship (she likes to loudly scream from the sidelines “YOU CAN DO IT COLE” to absolutely everything they do together, even though they’re already together (she’s trying ok))

he, like nearly all the other characters, is a rebel

second ninjago ever after high redesign: jay hatter!

in this au, jay is the son of libber, the mad hatter (she runs the ever after hatdashery café (like in ever after high))

he’a a rebel(-ish) who is only really a rebel because he hangs out with a bunch of them (+ his boyfriend is literally a rebel, + libber cannot care less over if her son follows his destiny or not). he wears a snowflake earring because it was a gift from his boyfriend, zane (son of the snow king/dr julien). in return, jay gave him a lightning bracelet

he, like the other wonderland kids, often absolutely rocks skirts and dresses to parties and stuff (e.g. he wore a dress to both thronecoming and the true hearts day dance (which he, pixal (daughter of eros) and vania (daughter of sleeping beauty) planned in secret), both times of which zane just spent staring at him like 😳 in a good way)

OOOO, WAIT I GOT AN IDEA!!

Would Jay and Nadakhan have some sort of weird rivalry (in your Ever After High AU)? Like, maybe Nadakhan hates Jay for like no reason whatsoever?? OR it could have something to do with Nadakhan hating Wonderland Kids in general? Idk, just a thought (it's like 1 am and my ADHD brain is full of random ideas rn. Wonderful AU so far! ❤️)

in the au, jay decides to run for student body president to represent the rebels and has a lot of support (like in ever after high with maddie, everyone loves jay) until the student they chose to represent the royals, nadakhan, starts to spread dumb rumours about him

eventually nadakhan gets kicked out of the race and they choose gayle (daughter of goldilocks in the au) instead but they (jay and nadakhan) have a rivalry afterwards

(nadakhan doesn’t try much with jay afterwards though because zane, being jay’s protective boyfriend, threatened to freeze him)
